SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
IMPROVEMENT REQUIREMENTS
Below are the requirements for each summative assessment
  • If you want to re-take/improve your score, fill out the "Summative Assessment Improvement" sheet that are on the back table. 
  • Write the requirements below into the requirement check-list on the sheet and turn it into Mrs.K to be signed
  • Complete the requirements below (see the tab with all the class worksheets & notes if you need a copy of these)
  • Schedule a time for your summative assessment improvement
Industrial Age Test 
(way to improve grade = test corrections for partial credit (you CAN use your wksts/notes)
  1. Complete "Causes" worksheet
  2. Complete "Big Business & Labor" wkst
  3. Complete "Problems Caused by Industrialization & Rapid Urbanization" note-taking guide
  4. Complete "New Immigrants" Reading Guide
  5. Complete the "Industrial Era Study Guide"
Political Corruption Quiz 
(way to improve grade = test corrections for partial credit (you CAN use your wksts/notes)
  1. Complete Political Corruption Reading Guide
  2. Notes from Boss Tweed Video - if you don't have these or your notes are lacking, use the internet to research information to complete the video notes

World War I Test 
(way to improve grade = test corrections for 1/2 credit (you CAN use your wksts/notes))
  1. Complete World War I wkst #1 (Ch.11 Sect.1&2)
  2. Complete World War I wkst #2 (Ch.11 Sect.3&4)
  3. Influenza 1918 wkst (site with transcript is on the worksheet if you didn't watch the video)
  4. World War I Propaganda Assignment (do two posters)
  5. World War I Study Guide (you may either write out the answers on a sheet of paper OR go through the study guide and write down where in the packet the answer to the study guide is found)
  6. Schedule a time to meet with Mrs. K to go over any questions and/or struggles


Prohibition Quiz
(way to improve grade = new quiz- short answer format for full credit (you CAN use wkst) )
  1. Complete Prohibition Webquest
  2. Read Chapter 13, Section 1 on Prohibition in your textbook (answers on new quiz should come from both the webquest AND the textbook information for full credit)
  3. Schedule a time to meet with Mrs. K to go over any questions and/or struggles
